Upon realizing how their lives parallel, Mr. Cheamak recorded his thoughts about César Chávez in an essay, and a painting entitled A DAY IN THE FIELDS. He was awarded the 2002 César Chávez Memorial Education Award from the California Teachers Association for his work, which has been included amongst the winning 2001-2002 entries in the CTA Human Rights Department publication pictured below.

          

After winning the CTA Award, Mr. Cheamak was featured in an article in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, and in 2003 in an article in the Chino Champion.

One of Mr. Cheamak's most recent works, THE COLORS OF PEACE received the President's Award at the 38th Annual Open Exhibition of the Fine Arts Institute of the San Bernardino County Museum. The Juror was David Lawrence, Retired Head of Art & Film Department at Valley College.
